Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, marking the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week here in the UK. Sadly for those who have suffered loss, the week doesn't end here. I light these candles to remind you that you are not alone, and there is always someone listening.
For some who haven't experienced or seen loss like this, it is difficult to understand how one can miss someone they didn't know for long or maybe never met, but the pain is very real and indescribable. So, please, be understanding. It is so important for us as a people to let our loved ones grieve, to understand them and to just be there.
To everyone who needs it, I'm sending a virtual hug, a gentle reminder of the superpowers of a cup of tea
and (in case you feel you need to be given it) permission for you to take the time you need to take care of yourself.
And to my parents, you are the strongest people I know and I love you - Always.
